Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirate’s Quiz For YOU!

Due to the success of the movie and the release of the second film, Dead Man's Chest, three Captain Jack Sparrow audio-animatronics™ were added to the attraction. He can be first found standing behind a dress display, poking his head out of a barrel, and in the last scene of the ride, sitting among the the vast treasure. 

During the planning phases of the attraction, Walt intended on it being a walk-through wax museum showcasing pirates looting villages. That idea was changed into a boat ride featuring audio-animatronics™ after positive reactions to "it's a small world" and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Did you know that Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland was the last ride Walt personally oversaw before he died? Sadly, was not able to see it completed. 

The Walt Disney World version comes in at 8 minutes and 30 seconds, 7 minutes shorted than the Disneyland version. Speaking of, the Disneyland version happens to be the longest out of all the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions around the world.

It is easy to see how the two skeletons reached their untimely demise. It appears they perished as they were trying to figure out their next move. The game can be found in a perpetual check, the only move leading to a never-ending repetition of the same moves. Fun fact- during a routine rehab, the game pieces were moved around. When it was time to put them back, the Imagineers could not remember how the pieces were set up. They were unable to figure out where the pieces belonged, and the only way they fixed it was by looking back into Imagineer Marc Davis's original drawings! 

Whoops, that isn't correct. There is one 14 foot drop at the start of the ride. Not only for thrills, the drop has a very important purpose! It moves guests from the loading area, down below the train tracks and into the large building where the ride is hosted. The sister ride in Disneyland has two drops! 

It is in fact Hector Barbossa, the fearful pirate captain leading the attack on the fort! Captain Jack Sparrow can be found else where throughout the attraction, while Blackbeard can sometimes be found projected on the mystical waterfall when first entering the caves. 

Good guess but not correct. The adorable dog can be found in every scene of the Carousel of Progress as well as the farm scene in Living With the Land in Epcot. While the Haunted Mansion does have a dog, he is very skinny, and can be found with the groundskeeper outside the cemetery. In Peter Pan's Flight, Nana, the children's nursery dog, can be found as soon as your flying ship leaves the Darling's home. 

The original ride featured a scene of a redheaded "wench" being actioned off. In an attempted to evolve with the cultural norms/appropriate expectations, this scene as well as other were updated. In scenes where pirates were chasing women, they are now chasing food, or where a pirate was once chasing a scared women, the tides have turned and she is now the one chasing him for stealing.
