October 1, 1971 brought us the opening of Walt Disney World in Florida. If you have been following each “This Day in History” you might get a clue to what this special spot is in one of our favorite parks!

Don’t mistake this ride with another fan favorite, located in the same park but in a different land. This attraction is loved by guests of all ages.
That is where the influential rock band shot their music video prior to the resorts opening in June of 1988. Majority of the video comprises of scenes from the film Cocktail, but all the shots of the band performing features the iconic resort in the background.

I will admit that I can be guilty of beelining it straight to the attractions when entering the parks. I sometimes need to remind myself to stop and take in all of the details. Hollywood Studios has one of the coolest park entrances! I love being transported back in time. Speaking of…do you know the decade that the Entryway and Hollywood Boulevard are designed to reflect?

The Walt Disney World Resort is a massive size, but just how big is it?
Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite! It is a timeless place filled with magic, and for many, nostalgia. There are even a handful of attractions that predate the park’s existence. How well do you know the history of these attractions? Can you name the oldest ride at the Magic Kingdom?
We love the anticipation that builds as you walk into Epcot and see Spaceship Earth, aka…the giant golf ball. Imagine for a moment that it really was a giant golf ball! Just how tall would a golfer have to be to hit it?
Let’s hop over to Magic Kingdom Park. The three mountains…you either love them or can’t go on them. I LOVE them!! Thunder and Space are a must do for me. I love Splash but it all depends on my mood and if I feel like getting wet. Either way, all three can go FAST! The question is…which one is the fastest?!
p.s. The background of the trivia question is from our upcoming children’s book, The ABCs of the Magic Kingdom. We are currently having it illustrated and are in the works for finding an agent!! Eek, so exciting!!!
“it’s a small world” is a beautiful attraction representative of our wonderfully diverse world. Imagineers purposely focused the attention off of the United States and only represented the region with two dolls. Which dolls represent the good ole’ USA?
I love to test my knowledge and learn more about the parks. Walt Disney World comprises of four theme parks and two water parks. This use to be my favorite thing to do at this Disney water park.

Someone take me to the BEACH….or at least to the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop Today we are showcasing the new Cast Member costumes that you can now see at The Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. In late 2019, they went through some refurbishments to expand the space and give it a fresh look. Still keeping with the classic 1950’s vibe, this restaurant and Cast Members are looking good!
Cast Member costumes are always over the top and always suit the attraction that it’s paired with perfectly! As we approach Halloween, I couldn’t help but feature these Cast Member Costumes from two of our favorite attractions that are sure to give people the chills and thrills! 
Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion and Hollywood Studio’s Tower of Terror Cast Members really take their role dead-seriously.
Today you get to see what the cast members wear at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique AND what the guests can look like AFTER they are sprinkled with pixie dust!
There are three locations guests ages 3-12 can go to get transformed into a princess! There are 4 packages to choose from and each guest get their very own Fairy Godmother! Reservations are highly recommended since this experience usually books very far in advance! Featured in today’s photos is Jenna, Sarah’s daughter! She got to experience the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique twice and each time was so magical!
“Please stand clear of the doors. Por Favor Manténgase Alejado de las Puertas.” This well known quote can be heard each and every time you ride the Monorail. This is just one type of transportation that is available to guests at Walt Disney World. Just like various attractions throughout the parks, each of the types of transportation have a specific costume for Cast Members to wear. These Cast Members may not get the most recognition, but they deserve it all! They make ensure all guests have a smooth ride and make it to their next destination safely. Who would have thought there was so much behind that little oval shaped name tag that you see Cast Member’s wear! Take a look 
This barbershop singing quartet is worth the stop as you’re walking down Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom. You can also find them in Disneyland! They started entertaining in Disneyland in 1959 and have been at Magic Kingdom since opening day, October 1, 1971! You can find the Dapper Dans at various times entertaining guests with their a cappella melodies and with a unique instrument, The Deagan Organ Chimes.
In May 2017, Disney’s Animal Kingdom brought us Pandora-The World of Avatar. This land embraces the beauty of nature and takes us to the imaginary world of floating mountains, lush jungles, flowing streams, and bioluminescent life. Here the Cast Members play ACE field experts. Check out the Cast Member costumes you will find around Pandora-The World of Avatar.

! Star Wars has taken over Hollywood Studios, between the Galactic Spectacular Fireworks, to the meet and greets at Star Wars Launch Bay to the NEW Star Wars Galaxy Edge; if you’re a FAN, Hollywood Studios is the place to be! Cast Member costumes play a HUGE role in the attraction experience.
Disney pins are a fun way to show off some Disney spirit! Whether they are on your lanyard, ready for trading or on your jacket for a bit of flair, Disney pins are much more than an accessory! Pin Trading is a fun activity for all guests to enjoy. Which pin will you WEAR next?!
Seriously, though, I hope everyone is staying warm if you are being affected by this Winter storm. It’s brought lots of snow to where I live and we don’t ever get snow! The cold weather made me think of our favorite Disney princesses during the winter time. How do they stay warm at the parks when temperatures start to go down?! I am always in awe of the innovated technology that comes from Disney Parks. These innovations are what set Disney apart from other theme parks and made them pioneers in the industry. One of those things are Audio-Animatronic® Figures!
I will admit, some are in better shape than others and could use some TLC, regardless, they are quite an amazing feat of technology. Does anyone have an Audio-Animatronic® Figure that is a favorite or sticks out in their mind? This one isn’t a favorite but it always gets a reaction from me- The dirty foot hanging over the bridge in Pirates!

This is a favorite among guests, I mean, who can turn down margaritas and delicious food?! My favorite thing about this pavilion is the nighttime atmosphere inside. It always feels magical!
Imagineering- Engineering with an extra special imagination 
Imagineering is what inspired us to begin Offstage WDW as we LOVE learning about the fascinating and intricate details that go into creating the magic. Imagineers have a unique code or “lingo” when working. Let’s dive in and learn some of the ins-and-outs of Imagineering terminology!
Animal Kingdom celebrates all wildlife; it’s beauty and wonder. It puts us in touch with nature and reminds us of the footprint we leave everyday. When designing the park, Imagineers did not want to just present animals. They wanted a deeper level of intellectual stimulation that planted a seed (see what I did there?!) of good environmental decision-making. It is with that in mind that they established three distinct themes throughout the park, as a reminder that it really is “Nahtazu!!”
Today we take you to Magic Kingdom Park. Let’s fly to Fantasyland to look at Mickey’s PhilharMagic! This attraction is truly magical. It showcases some of the best Disney music! I am a 90s kid, so this show transports me to my childhood and gives me all the feels 
It is a unique attraction that uses different senses to immerse guest into the show, making it an experience!
In this Muppet Theater replica, you can experience the zany antics of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie, Dr. Honeydew, Beaker, and many more, though 3D magic mixed with live action elements! This hilarious show is a classic and a must do when visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
When it comes to entertainment, Disney goes BIG! On this Theme Park Thursday, we dive into Fantasmic! Since 1998, it has been entertaining guests and packing the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. A must see for the entire family, Fantasmic! dives into Mickey’s imagination in only a way that Disney can do.
Hey there! While you’re cruisin’ by, want to take a quiz? It’s a boat load of fun and the ride of you life. Let me be Blunt, it’s probably going to the be the most Rock solid thing you do all day. But don’t take my word for it. Jump on in, buckle up and don’t Rock the boat!
